The Malaysian GP Handbook

Publication development overview · Version 0.1 · 2 October 2026

The Malaysian GP Handbook is being developed as a locally grounded, symptom-led clinical reference and learning resource. The current accessible manuscript is Expert Review Edition 1.0, dated September 2026, prepared for editorial and clinical peer review.

Current manuscript scope

This public overview describes the expert-review manuscript. It does not substitute for the manuscript or publish its treatment recommendations.

Publication pathway

The intended submission destination is Universiti Malaya Press. The website describes a manuscript-development and submission-preparation pathway, not acceptance, endorsement or publication by the university.

The current edition identifies outstanding clinical, medicines, infection/public-health, antimicrobial, usability and editorial verification. Completion and sign-off of those checks must be documented before describing a final manuscript as submission-ready.

Public and editorial editions

The public website provides a publication-development overview. Full unpublished clinical text, reviewer correspondence and editorial working files remain separate.

A full manuscript release should follow an explicit rights and editorial decision. The publisher's own information remains available through Universiti Malaya's official office directory.

Connection to Perdana Academy

Programme development includes chapter outlines, source-linked evidence resources and original process-learning modules. These are distinct from the expert-review clinical manuscript and from any externally accredited course. Publication and institutional learning delivery remain subject to review.

Publication milestones will be updated literally: manuscript preparation; submission made; receipt acknowledged; editorial decision; publication. Each new status requires the corresponding record.
